fnatic survive, TSM advance at PGL S1
fnatic eliminated Team Liquid in the lower bracket final 2-1 (16-9 on de_cache, 12-16 on de_cbble, and 16-7 on de_overpass), whereas TSM are through to the grand finals of PGL Season 1 after defeating Virtus.pro (16-12 on de_inferno and 16-14 on de_train).
The second day of the PGL Season 1 finals would determine which team would be the first to exit the tournament as the loser of the lower bracket final and which team would advance to the grand final via the upper bracket final.
Taking place at the Grand Cinema & More complex in Bucharest, Romania, the PGL finals saw the second day kick off with a match-up between the Swedish fnatic and American Team Liquid lineups.
They call me Captain KRIMZ and I'm commandeering this series
On the first map of de_cache, fnatic managed to walk towards a moderately won victory after a 9-6 defensive CT half, which Markus "pronax" Wallsten's men then converted into a 16-9 finish following a string of seven Terrorist rounds.
Spencer "Hiko" Martin and Nick "nitr0" Cannella put in their best efforts to keep the Americans' hopes alive, and Liquid proved they were no laughing matter by delivering a more successful Terrorist half than fnatic on de_cbble, securing eleven rounds and the map after a passable defense: 16-12.
The third and final map showed the LGB-duo of yore Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer wreaking more havoc on de_overpass (fnatic's playground to the point of the map sometimes being called "olofpass" after the latter player); fnatic closed the map out 16-7 with ease and moved forward into the consolidation final. Team Liquid will have to be consoled with taking a map off the world's best team and a $5,000 cheque.

The upper bracket final between Virtus.pro and TSM was a rematch of the ESL ESEA Dubai Invitational grand final and provoked some friendly banter ahead of the match by TSM's hotshots.
Following a commanding defensive half on de_inferno (11-4), Virtus.pro found themselves victims of a wiry Danish comeback, as TSM proved why they're one of the best defensive lineups in the world by shutting down the Poles on their Terrorist side and taking the map 16-12.

On de_train, Filip "NEO" Kubski led his men to an 8-7 Terrorist half, which was propped up by each member of Virtus.pro putting in a fragging effort, although the usually stats-heavy Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski was rather silent in impact.
In the second half, TSM took the pistol and started to pull away with the game, however a VP force-buy at 12-14 gave the Poles some momentum, which allowed them to bring the score to 14-14. TSM kept composed however, and ultimately grinded out the last two rounds and took the map 16-14, thus winning the series.
